#1 MEH speaker project

This is a multi entry horn speaker not a “meh” speaker that lack enthusiasm or authority ( Oxford dictionary) hopefully.
I have had a test horn 3D printed in segments, and glued them together, for those with keen eyes the ports for the midrange aren’t symmetrical, an error on my half with the gluing and on the designers part to avoid midrange resonances, by having different path lengths. 3D printing is viable option for the final speakers as even on a professional printer, the fit of the segments wasn’t great.
Looking for some suggestions for “cheap” 6.5” midrange drivers, as those recommended by the designer are around £100 each and will need 8 for a pair of speakers.
The aim of this is a wife friendly MEH speaker, opposed to a Darnley sh50 which isn’t. https://www.erinsaudiocorner.com/loudsp ... nley_sh50/
I am going to test the HF horn first, I will tape over the ports for that as if the horn isn’t well behaved it’s not worth progressing. Hope to bring one finished speaker to Owston…
