So I have some 90% Nickel C cores suitable for output 45 amp or as phase splitter for final push pull output stage. If I make a small gap the driver could be chosen to not saturate the small gap. Or I could parallel feed that side, output is push pull.
So the output stage could be more powerful 6550 triode, still class A so basically two times the power of the SE 6550 amplifier, employing the same power supply, for which I have Dr John’s old Sowter push pull transformers.
This may take many years, lol…..
