Owston ( now darios) what are you bringing
#1 Owston ( now darios) what are you bringing
Owston 23 kit list...
It looks like we are down in numbers this year but that no excuse for those attending not to have a good time !
I'm planning on bringing my modified semi open baffles, now white, and more than likely, my px4 amplifier (complete with 1930s globes).
If you have posted on the main thread please add your kit list to this too, the more we have the better the day..
Thanks all for your support
I will not be organising a meet next year, so please make the most of this next meet.
Steve

The tube manual is quite like a telephone book. The number of it perfect. It is useful to make it possible to speak with a girl. But we can't see her beautiful face from the telephone number

I will bring along:
1. RTZ DAC
2. Logitech Transporter
3. CDPro2 player
No amp or speakers, unless that's a real problem?

Innuos Zen. ( Got lots of DSD music my humble DSP cannot play - to its full potential, may be interested for others)
Nadia preamp/ DSP
6 channels of glorious D class amps
New 3 way speakers using Beyma TPL + 12p80nd
Second set of horn speakers - 300hz to 12khz with single driver. May need Chris’s subs to add some bottom end.

If I get the SV811-3 tower finished, I'll bring that. If not, it'll be the NVA based solid state amp with built-in phono1 stage and the awful
....Mission 773, WAF friendly, inefficient, slimline floor-standers (I'm eternally grateful Ray
) plus Lenco TT with our Ant's prototype unipivot and AT cart with line contact stylus.

Easy listening: high fidelity, low anxiety.

I'll be bringing some mystery 3-way tri-amped speakers, which are currently under construction. Happy for them to be used by anyone wanting to demo a source. There's Dante, AES3 (digital) or analogue XLR inputs available.
Steve, you can borrow the woofer section if you like. I'm aiming at a 3-400Hz crossover there, so should do okay for you. LF extension should be ample.
I might also bring a digital mixing desk, and some multi-track files from some of the shows I've done sound for, if anyone fancies trying their hand at mixing.
I'll have a think about if there'll be anything else interesting.

Hi Mike,
Just normal phono, single ended.
I could perhaps cobble together some balanced outputs to try but I'll have to obtain some XLRs..

It's touch and go whether I'll have tie to finish it but if I do I'll being along my Nelson Pass Sony VFET power follower and some sort of pre-amp.
I'll also bring along a timy 25wpc transformer-input TDA8932 amplifier and a buffered passive preamp (using vintage BUF-03 devices).
Whatever I bring I'll need to slot them into someone's source/speakers.

Sorry, I couldn't resist!

Ray, I'm happy to lend my 4" Fostex 2-way monitors. They've appeared there previously, and did a pretty reasonable job. Is a 4ohm load okay?
