Oh no. Thats sad news.

I've raved about 801 for years, he was a part of that sound. Curved Air, now there's a band I know nothing about, erks.

I knew of Francis Monkman because of his work with Sky.
RIP Francis.

Saw Curved Air back in the day. For various reasons it’s Sonja Christina that stays in the memory, but Francis was the musical foundation of the band. Their first album, Air Conditioning, is definitely worth a listen.

A young workmate of mine had Sonja on the phone not long ago. Being just a kid he’d never heard of her, and couldn’t understand why his elderly colleague was getting all hot under the collar…

Going on the number of amazing musicians we’ve lost lately, If there’s any sort of afterlife there should be some pretty good bands around by the time we get there!

The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.

I'd missed that he was with 801, I must get that album out shortly.
