Putting on the shelf the wonders of what, e.g. Fender or Boss do with processing people are still told to hanker after old valve amps.
It seems to me that the ONLY reason for push pull amps is that for sheer SPL against cost you got a hell of a bang for the buck.
But when one can be bothered SE sounds so very much better by any criterion except price than any pp amp I've used on guitar. And I well appreciate how expensive power and SE is - can be fun but not for regular gigging fun...
