I think you may be confusing the 250 GTO with the 250 GT

I had forgotten this one completely. Just for added enjoyment, the places named are all fairly local to me.

I couldn't find it without foreign language subtitles though.

Evolution of the Deltic locomotive – with the snippet of info that if you didn't check the generators for water ingress before starting it up, it could explode (output = 600V at >500 Amps) :shock:

Yep, checking on Wiki seems a order or magnitude out if the 3300hp rating is correct.

(3300 * 0,746) / 600 = 4103A

assuming 80% efficiency looks more like 5000A at 600v

Ahh, looking at this:
