First two jabs Jane and I had were AZ, the third last Friday was Pfizer. On Monday we both had flu jabs. Absolutely no side effects from any of them for either of us. We seem to have been dead lucky!

My Doctor is going to refer me to the "sleep clinic" at Papworth hospital. :D

I wonder how long before I get an actual appointment ?
I've got a letter today from the Royal Papworth Hospital ( which is actually on the same site as Addenbrooks Hospital) to pick some "sleep equipment" on Dec 7th, and return it the next day.
The sleep equipment is a pulse oximeter and a data recorder. Did the test last night and getting ready to take the kit back to Royal Papworth hospital.

Lets see what they say after data analysis.

It might turn out that you're a vampire at night, and you never realised !

Ooh err !!

Perhaps that's why I like black pudding ?

PS Don't eat black pudding a day or so before a bowl cancer poo test. :)

When I took the kit back to the Royal Papworth hospital, the bouncer (sorry - doorman) refused me admittance.

He took the kit off me and said he'd hand it in to the correct area.

They are very strict, yesterday I had to show my appointment letter before being admitted, and mask wearing is compulsory.

It's a general thing. Our daughter just had a child. The father was only allowed in briefly and when she was on a ward, not at all.

When I had my knee op recently, no visitors were allowed. When I have my physio sessions, the physio can walk through the hospital to pick me up but I have to walk round the outside of the hospital to the physio department as I don't have daily lateral flow tests like the physios.

It's standard risk management. Identify the risks, mitigate those you can, manage and accept what remains.

I was not complaining, it's good to see risk prevention at work.

Hmmmmmmmm, it brings out the teenager in me. I pop into South Wing from time to time, gallantly pcking up the torch for colleagues who are 'under the weather' or gone back to Europe.

I enjoy the company, the esprit de corps, just talking to others and being able to do a little to help.....

And yet, whether I'm wearing my best shiny black Loakes an admittedly ageing Armani suit, or unwashed craghoppers and trainers, getting in through the door requires I show my badge. Not wearing a mask elicits from the enormous sentinels much teeth sucking sounds, rolling of eyes and barely tolerated patronising.....

No, no, no. Why should they recognise me. Grow up Andrew. After all its no party here.

Should have gone to Downer Street.
