random starting point being chosen
It would have to be random within the first 10 soldiers, unless the pushing continued mod 10 after the last, back to the first. Though if it was, it would be identical to random in the first 10.

And you used to provide spec's to coders?

I had Covid and Flu injections yesterday, and my arm is still a bit sore.

I wish Id never had one, but i had two befor I realised my error.
So far, I’ve had five Covid jabs. I’ve never had Covid.

I’ve had flu jabs annually for at least the last five years. I’ve never had flu.

I’ve had a pneumonia jab. I’ve never had pneumonia.

I had a tetanus jab when I buggered my finger, and at previous times after other minor injuries. I’ve never had tetanus.

When I was 16 I had the BCG. I’ve never had TB.

I had a polio jab when I was five. I’ve never had polio.

None of these ever caused me any problems apart from the polio jab which hurt like buggery. Thankfully, since 1957 they’ve stopped using re-useable needles which go blunt.

I don’t regard these facts as coincidental. It is very likely that if I’d had none of these I would not be 71 and in excellent health.

If Bill Gates has implanted chips in my bloodstream then bloody good luck to him. He’s welcome to track my movements. I hope they bore him stupid.

Vaccinations work. They save millions of lives every year. They occasionally cause problems, but they solve far more than they cause, and they very definitely cause less problems than the diseases that they prevent.
What will happen comes closer. What has happened goes further away.

Absolutely!

I loved Latin at school and it has been useful.

Ah! But you're a doctory type sort of person. My dad spoke Latin to his colleagues (he was an academic lawyer) - used to annoy me a lot. SWMBO can speak Latin, but she's a linguist and also speaks/reads/writes fluent French, Spanish (Castilian plus various South American dialects), Italian, Modern Greek, Arabic (various dialects, mainly Fuṣḥā and MSA) plus bits of other languages like Portuguese, Farsi, Pashtun, Russian, Bahasa Malay etc.

I confess that what little Latin I have has proved useful over the years, especially when coming across unfamiliar words - with a bit of basic Latin & Greek, you can deduce an awful lot.

I've been at my Mums since about 11:30, and lunchtime a nurse came round to check her blood pressure. It was over 200 (top number) so the nurse went away and came back with a senior colleague, who also was concerned about the reading.

They have now gone away to consult a Doctor, so I'm staying till something gets sorted.

Both readings are pertinent. But 200 is very high.

When the doctors thought I might die and told my wife to bring my children to say goodbye , my blood pressure was 240 /180 and nothing they did reduced it .

Hope your mum is ok.

She's as OK as she can be given her medical and eyesight problems.

Thanks for asking. :)

A question for our resident ear expert.

My ears still seem blocked, but as far as I can see (with my ear camera) it's not wax, as I can clearly see the ear drum. I did have a sore left ear and jaw area a week ago, but that has almost gone.

Looking online it seems it could be Eustachian Tube Disfunction, but I'm only guessing.

If I hold my nose and blow it sort of helps but only for a second or so. I saw a YouTube video that suggested a "tool" that I link to below. Any thoughts ?
