Camping Trip to New Holland (25 minutes -ish, time lapse)
Camping trip from Hagworthingham to New Holland on the Humber estuary, going through the middle of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Route is basically a cycle route created with OS Maps on the PC, and then followed using OS Maps app on iPhone.

I've yet to watch that video Mike, but I did enjoy your walk around New Holland and the Humber estuary.

PS Just watched your 2 chef acts, I think I'd prefer the corned beef hash.

I think the time lapse one is worth it, there's some interesting views. And -- it's The Wolds!

There's 2 more travel videos I have to get on with, not started editing yet. New Holland to Skellingthorpe nr Lincoln, and Skellingthorpe to home. Again all cycle routes, no main roads.

It was the Speed trial as Betteshanger (Kent Mining quarry, no really) this weekend.

Really good time down there, the display tent had a Baggo-Fave!...




And a stationary 27 Litre V12 Merlin engine running, good lordy that was noisy!

Sadly, this splendid example of one of Copenhagen's finest relegates my own machine to third division status by comparison. But at least I can boast having the original voltage regulator (under the seat). Don't you just love rivet counters?

I never carry a pillion, so have dispensed with the rear seat to become a bobber. How cool is that?

But what is the interesting-looking bike on the stand behind? This I don't recognise.

It seems to say "Wankel" on the side panel, so perhaps a rotary Norton ?

Looks like a DKW to me, if it is I had a ride on one once.

Yup, its was a Wankel Engined DKW on show at the Sprint.

Never thought of that. Well done, chaps. A bit different from the original DKW then. Dampf-Kraft-Wagen - "Dampf" being "steam".

At least steam lasted a bit longer than electric. For other than specific-purpose vehicles, the idea of battery driven transport was recognised as a busted flush in the 19th century. 120 years later we (at least the eco-freaks and opportunistic politicians) are still poncing about with a failed technology.

Nothing like a bit of progress, eh!

Blimey, this Jigsaw-de-le-Francais has kept me busy over summer.

Just brakes, engine rebuild and then all the NOVA/DVLA stuff to go through now. It's not registered in the UK so it'll be a while before I'm burning down the streets on it.
