Ah but it doesn't mean that LZ gets played when the MemSahib is home. More Sibelius, even Stravinsky gets a raised eyebrow.

What Are You Listening To Right This Minute?

Well, for about the last month or so, we've listening a lot to Radio Caroline again and very good it's been too. Its actually live from the Ross Revenge today and relayed via the Radio Manx AM transmitter so goes out as 'Radio Caroline North' but we 'tune in' via Squeezebox Radio.

In a bizarre pirate radio-BBC twist they also now transmit (legally) on 648kHz AM which was the old BBC World service frequency.

How = I knew they used to do 30 day restricted service license broadcasts that were good fun and searched around on the interwebs for info on what they've been up to.

Why = Well, they play a very good mix of music and respond to listener requests such as "play more 'orkwind and space rawk" :) I also like the History of the station too.
