I found this on another website, Foobar can generate test tones. You can make them, save them as .flac files or whatever, tag them and use 'em for whatever. Thought it might deserve a place in the library stacks...
"If you happen to use foobar as your audio player, there is a really simple method that I use. Do "playlist"->"add location" and enter "tone://<Hz>,<duration>" to create a tone (ex. "tone://100,30" would create a 30 second 100Hz tone)."
