Welcome back Thomas! Missed you.

Awwh thanks people, it feels good to be back...
I'm looking forward to less stress in my life now and more playtime with valves, bikes and motorbikes! Hopefully some travel at some stage, too....

Shouldn't you have posted in the 'New Users' intro section first Thomas?

I was wondering.... trolley based amplifiers - priceless.
Glad all is well.

Not to steal Thomas's glory, but other trolleys are available.

Personally, I was shocked (SWIDT) just at the sight of the Tower of Power... maybe, given the time you now have, it could get to 2W and become the "Mighty Tower of Power"?
(*) ISTR your cat(s) giving it a wide berth...
(**) It was a long time ago..,

Yes actually that was our Westie who (quite fascinatingly) seemed to instinctively keep a wide berth from the Tower....
I do have plans to add a floor or two to it eventually (GM70s?!) but for now I plan on a simple 2a3 jobbie, play with power supplies to it and try and get back into listening vs measuring stuff.
Unfortunately the back of my oscilloscope burst into flames about 18 months back (curiously it was still working for the 30s or so it took me to react and pull the plug) and I didn't trust myself to try and repair it so I'll be on the look out for some digital thing or other in the near future.
But before then I'm very tempted to splurge on an electric starter kit for the Velocette!

Is it just me, or has the Search box on the home page stopped working (along with the adjacent settings icon)?

No, the JS for the lights must have taken over the space. Just use the quick links options to find them for the next 13 days or so.
