#1 New turntable ?

Post by fallenangel »

Anyone tried these Project Debut things ? I'm looking for a new/secondhand turntable, as I have loads of vinyl (600+ albums) that I haven't played for ages. I used to have a Fons with a Hadcock arm, but it was such a pain to keep in tune that I just got rid of it, it did have a nice sound though, when it was working and everything came together at 3pm on June 1st 1998.

Hi Tony,

I realise you are new here and of course, welcome. Your question will likely not be seriously responded to here. Most of us use old idler or direct drive turntables from the 1960/70's because for us they sound better than current stuff being sold. Also, a few have built their own TT's. I'd suggest a read up of the relevant threads here and also have a look at http://wduk.worldomain.net/forum/index.php A search on sources there will throw up some good stuff. After reading you may want to change your approach.

Best wishes,

Greg
