I don't recall having seen videos of her before but there's bits of Maggie Bell in there and the band do seem to be enjoying themselves....

and Tina Turner, obviously
I've not seen any footage of her too, ta for the linky. It's 'ok' (IMO) but a bit ermmm, y'know, Cabaret/staged/going through the motions for me. On album in that 2 x Bass line up she's awethumne (IMO).

A big 'bit' of Anastacia (sp) to my ears too our-Ed specially in her phrasing in that linky footage.

Dave
I see you slipped in a bit of Van Vliet back there thinking I wouldn't notice.
Now you've got me thinking what I can play tonight .
Hmm, Safe as Milk, or Clear Spot, or Doc at the Radar Station... what's it to be ?

Safe as Milk!
Philosophers have only interpreted the world - the point, however, is to change it. No it isn't ... maybe we should leave it alone for a while.

Why does that immediately make me think of The Edgar Broughton Band?
The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.

Of course. Fool that I am, I'd forgotten it was a cover.

Strange that in my youth EBB was an absolute favourite, but I never really "got" Beefheart.
