Thanks for the info.Mike H wrote:That's mine that is! yes it is and yes you can from here:And last of all a nagaoka Boron MP11. I used this for a long time on my Dual 5505 Mk 2 turntable and I remember liking the sound of this one a lot. Worth buying a new stylus for? (If they're available).

Nagaoka are still making 'em, and the carts, (lot of people think they disappeared years ago, not so) got a new MP20 boron stylus for mine. Only they've changed all the numbers round since, looks like it's now the JNP200. Prices have gone up a helluva lot too!
.
MP11 stylus discontinued, use MP20 instead.
Costs a hundred quid
So - better to use budget moving coil at around £115.00?
Try the stylus cleaner recommended earlier and see what it sounds like?
Buy a new Boron moving magnet stylus for a hundred smackers?
Stick with the cheapo alternatives I have now until I can afford a better turntable?
I think, actually, I'll go with the latter.
I also think I'll try the Ortofon.
Maybe also try and source a couple more headshells for easy cartridge comparison.
