The local bowls club I belong to is having a troubled time because of personality issues.

The club captain has resigned because the (arsehole) chairman is incompetent, and in supporting the club captain I've ended up with a one match suspension for "bad behaviour".

Hopefully it will get fully sorted after the season ends, at the AGM.

Makes you wonder why you bother sometimes, doesn’t it Phil. Why the hell people can’t just get on with each other without power playing all the bloody time is beyond me.

Reminds me of the WD forum when Dave Cawley had it. 😂

TBH, I left after he tried to claim ownership of peoples posts. Did it continue after that point?

Is WD still going? What do they discuss? Genuine questions, I haven't been there for years.

The WD forum is still going, although I don't look in very often these days, probably once a month, if that.

They were at the show the other month, seemed to be going strong as a company. I am happy it finally found a good owner. Don't know about the forum though, I guess its related to stuff they sell still?

Is it still a vehicle for the WAD/WD kit? I haven't read the mag in years - do they still do kits? Things never seemed the same after Nick Lucas left. Or perhaps he left because things weren't the same?

The forum is still active but only about half a dozen people contribute. It’s a shadow of it’s former self but Matthew Snell seems to have made a success of WD as a company. KEL84, WD88VA and Pre4/Phono3/PSU3 all still available through a nicely updated website.

Just repeat the 1st line again but this time shaking you're head.

It'll come around just fine.
