watched 5 mins of Macca on tv and I've got to say.....good effort but very brave to front off a gazillion people with what's left of his voice...very brave..

question for Ali...did you see the Macca set and if so, was that Klaus Voorman//

Ed, no, I saw him the last time, so elected to see The Waterboys as I’ve never seen them live. Fantastic set.

Good question about Klaus Voorman, have to look back. The set was really great in the end, he brought on Dave Grohl and Bruce Springsteen, there were tracks like 'Band on the Run' and 'Helter Skelter' in there, then signing off with the medley from side 2 Abbey Road was pretty cool.

Great to watch Glasto in UHD on auntie Beeb's iPlayer. Herbie Hancock's final number - wow!
Ms Ross however ...hmm.

I offered my old broken 55" TV on freecycle, as a proportion of the panel still shows a picture.

One person replied and asked if I would meet them in Ipswich, about a 70mile round trip.

Much as I would hate taking it to the tip that looks like where it's going.

We some some friends who were given tickets to the O2 on 23/06 to see Diana Ross.

They love her (for various reasons) but said she couldn't sing in tune at all.

Her Glasto set was great fun but certainly not great music.

I suppose at 78 it's amazing she can still get up on stage at all.

Watched Herbie Hancock's set last night , on iPlayer.
Some very fine things in there, loved the track with the vocoder.

Artists that go past their sell by date are somewhat egotistical .

Just retire will you!

Funnily enough I’ve yet to see a retired doctor of 79 asking if he can diagnose me .

Have gone back to the pass amps, the a20/p20 was winding me up. Not because its bad or anything, but because i was missing the f5 clarity and detail and it just wasnt there. im a sucker for that, i wanted that presentation back.

Im watching the energy monitor like a hawk now while using the pass amps, it obviously costs more to run it, i suppose ill just have to put up with that.

Ive tried all sorts of amps since i got the f5 of ali, nothing has been able to better it.

Why is it that every dog and every cat ive ever had flops down, relaxes and appears to lay there listening whenever i put jazz on?

Just put duke ellington unknown session on, and the dog who was running around being a pain in the arse has flopped on the sofa, shut its eyes and doing the listening thing where the ears move around
