Looks like the small man won against Parcel Monkey.... If assessed in hours wasted, it’s cost me many times the value of the claim.

Yes and humidity seems to be the main reason for global warming, sparked of course by 'greenhouse' gases
I read somewhere that strictly speaking we are still in an ice age or rather at the end of one ?
My own view is that whatever human kind manages to change in the way of emissions, it will make no difference
My view in every way, life/ time on this planet is full of 'new realities'
As part of nature we do the best we can to survive those new realities.
Just like we have always done in the past.
The tube manual is quite like a telephone book. The number of it perfect. It is useful to make it possible to speak with a girl. But we can't see her beautiful face from the telephone number

No, the extra carbon dioxide and methane are causing global warming, one consequence of which is increased humidity.

am I going mad.....
Steve said(I am paraphrasing) greenhouse gases are leading to increased humidity
Mark said 'No'(implying that Steve was wrong)

No idea, that's not something I am qualified to give an opinion on.am I going mad.....
The fact that you are paraphrasing literally means that Steve did not say that. It may or may not be that Steve was suggesting that, but he certainly didn't say it. At the least it depends on what the word 'sparked' means in that context which I don't know.Steve said(I am paraphrasing) greenhouse gases are leading to increased humidity
I think all Mark was doing was correcting the cause and effect chain. If for example we build giant dehumidifies and reduce the level of water vapor in the air (and lets for fun run them on a fossil fuel that means they emit CO2) then that would not reduce global warming. If what Steve said was true:
You would expect that to work as a solution to global warming.Yes and humidity seems to be the main reason for global warming

I see Sizewell C has the green light. Being built by EDF - so when Macron renationalises them, will the French own part of Suffork? I do not believe that nuclear offers value for money and won’t be online for decades, even if we ignore the legacy and clean up costs.
From a stored energy perspective compressed air offers an interesting angle, driving turbines off it when it’s released back as gas. Poor exchange rate though as those sort of turbines are only 50% efficient at best.

Sizewell B is already run by EDF, so I think that ship has sailed.will the French own part of Suffork?

Hinkley Point too.
One of the ironies of British politics is that we sell off our nationalised assets in the name of free-market enterprise and who ends up owning them, the essentially nationalised businesses of other countries.
Sorry, I couldn't resist!

Well 'we' owned loads of France in days gone by, finally losing Calais. What a load of bollocks.
History is class war. Ruling class vs the poor - so many peeps are so stupid they don't realise they are 'the poor'. LIZ Truss is a fascinating case of DENIAL. We Europeans are well off compared to 'the developing world'. Nevertheless the fat controllers, including our Tory leaders, Trump, Putin blah blah
I realise I am part of 'the poor' and I'm not so badly off if I think about it for say 5 seconds.
It's pouring down in Beds - bloody lovely. Chic Corea doing a good job with an orchestra and I'm trying to get the halloumi to toast.
Phroaaaaaar eh!

Philosophers have only interpreted the world - the point, however, is to change it. No it isn't ... maybe we should leave it alone for a while.

We are forecast rain from 20:00 onwards, but no sign yet.
If it rains before bed-time I'll go outside in my undergarments and get cool. It's still 29.5C in the living room, but about mid 20s C outside.
