Apparently, Foobar has better quality music playback than Windows Media Player. Anyone any thoughts/opinions on this?

I prefer it, simply because it doesn't freeze every time I press something...

Good to hear it's all comming together.

Hmmm...

It's usually when switching playlists. I use NAS, so it could encounter problems there I suppose. Still, Foobar operates without such clunks.

XP media player is not too bad to use though does have ideosyncrasies with how the library works, to put it politely; the Visa version looks completely different and is even more of a total pain in the *&#@"$....

It's that bad I prefer iTunes to play things with

I have just reloaded Media player 11 (32 bit) after having to repair XP at the weekend. Fortunately it managed to save my playlist.

Just a small collection for browsing sessions. I also have a CD player + DAC + Valve pre + Valve amp adjacent to the computer so can play any CD as well.

"POOP" ?

Just differing tastes Davey boy.

No, not the Andy Stewart. Even I think he's crap.

Spinners OK though.

Trouble is, I'm trying to break these new drivers in using music with not much bass.

Dont have any dub reggae at the moment.

Get summat off youtube?

I looked up Stewart on wiki, apparently he was real poplar in the '60's! Toured Australia and even 'did' America. Performed for the Queen 3 times, viz 2 royal performances and a private function.

Cue innuendos ....

Serious speaker break in has begun, using the patented Ivimey/Bass method.

Using my QED sand amp and my Aiwa CD player (with full repeat function) the speakers are in the conservatory facing each other and wired out of phase then covered with two blankets so not to annoy passing gypsies or squirrels.

What's wrong with The Spinners? I like The Spinners!
The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.
