Wot, the envelope or the valve? :D Thats mad.

I did comment on the Ebay feedback that packaging was somewhat 'unconventional' for a 34 year old LP

£990

JTS (Julie the Stitch) has a nice but warped copy of Deja Vu on the Plum Atlantic label that needs de-warping. I'm reluctant to try ironing it as it still plays amazingly well actually but can't afford £990 for one record straightener. There's nary a blemish on the LP, 1st pressing from 1970 I think.

Its a bit pricy, It almost makes you want to do a "group Audio-talk buy" thats if it works of course, Perhaps one in the North One in the south LOL.

Wonder if Stamford Audio might be doing a bring your warped LP along to our shop and we will straighted it for a fiver a go?

I wonder though if I book into a Travelodge and steal a trouser press on the way out I could set up my own service :)

I wonder if something from here would do the job?

Hi andy,

Only £999. A bargain by anyone's books. I think not.

The LP in question that I was attempting to de-warp was trashed in the process. fortunatley for me a avid record collector friend of mine (actually a work mate) had a spare copy in his collection he let me have at a very reasonable cost.

DTB,

I like your reasoning re the trouser press. Let us all know if it works

Does trouseys too I'm led to believe but I wouldn't know as I'm still in shorts. (I don't get long trousers (like the big boys at school) untill next birfday).

EDIT. Problee fit 3 LP's in there, think of the profits...<whistles> "If I was a rich man" !

Hi-i remember being promised by my parents that when i started senior school they would get me long trousers.

But they didn't get them in time,so i still had to wear shorts for a time.

Funny how these things stick in ones memory. :(
