He was unique, made me laugh in days gone by, did you know he appeared as a caretaker in Harry Potter & The Goblet Of Fire. We should all watch 'The Plank' again in his honour.

A true comedy hero .
I was annoyed that I missed Barry Cryer's interview on the Radio 4 news that night . I caught the last few words after coming out of the supermarket ! Did anyone hear it, and could summarise what Barry said ? I know they worked together for years and were good friends .

He could also do 'straight' roles, e.g. check out the 2001 film 'The Others' if you not seen it.
