I’ll bring my Castle Warwicks 90db and very good sound. I’ll bring an amp and apple tv plus dac.

I seem to be getting this:

Sorry but the board is temporarily unavailable, please try again in a few minutes.

repeatedly now.

I see that Paul Tiernan has given up with his response issues on hifisubjectivist and created a new forum. There is something afoot at the moment, maybe these AI bots, but I checked my web server and noticed there were 4000+ users connected when I looked....wow!

is it safe to say we are doomed!

Yeah, there was mention of this a few days ago as well. Seems to have settled down a bit now.

On the subject of Owston, it sounds like some speakers would be useful. I'll have a dig around and see what's in the garage. The 18" 3-ways could come along again, but need 6x channels of amplification. If we fancy throwing that together, I'll sort out the (active) crossover and bring the speakers.

We'd need lows/mids/highs. The latter would be fine with 10w or less each, but the 18"s are considerably less-efficient and could do with something in the hundreds-of-watts range. I can always bring the big Crown amp.

Any takers?

The Lancaster flew right over our house yesterday, quite low.
Maybe they are doing a tour of Audio-talk members

Nor me, but we did have Yeovilton’s Swordfish, a Harvard and something else I didn’t have time to identify over us on Thursday. I’ve seen the Swordfish a few times over my son’s place two miles from Yeovilton, but I’ve not seen it down this way before.

I was playing bowl at the club tonight, and halfway through the match a Lancaster flew over the green.

Magic. :)
Damn I forgot to mention, it flew over my bungalow. Twice! But I heard it doing 1 or 2 passes before then. Wanted to try get a picture but that was the last time.

Dakota and a Hurricane today from the BBMF, we are quite close to RAF Bovingdon well what’s left of it, it’s more a film studio these days. Wonder if they use it as a waypoint…

We had a short downpour this afternoon, which had a really earthy smell and to prove the point my neighbours' white cars now have brown hue.

It seems to me that this message wasn’t following the thread, but it certainly fits ‘Nothing in Particular’. I hope you’re not going down the road some here navigate, informing the forum members (and the much wider dissociated public) of all the mundane occurrences and plans they have in their lives. We all have mundanity in our lives. We just don’t need to tell everyone else about it. I may be a bit different but generally it seems to me these kind of posts are unconstructive and certainly uninteresting. Well, that’s my take on it.

Just a thought. I hope the association was not your downpour with Neal’s Hurricane :D

Love that smell! Interesting mechanism behind it:
