I couldn’t resist it. I have the output transformers and the power transformers the U19 rectifiers. Im going to have to use Capacitors. But I did some drawing on the 4212 characteristic curves.
According to psu2 I don’t have enough b+ to raise the loadline to 140mA at which operating pint I would have 52 watts at 1.9% 2nd h. Just a little short on b+ had to pull the loadline down to 120mA so 50 Watts 3.3%.
4212E Anode is made of is Nickel not iron. So that may equally sound as good as the copper anode gm70. One slight disappointment is that the 4212D was Oxide Coated the same as my favourite 4211. But amongst all my 4212’s I don’t have a D. But positive: 1/Nickel,2/
the construction is like Peter Qwortrup’s favourite 845 construction the inverted pip.
So with the monoblock power transformers 2950CT I can’t Choke input, and dont suggest solid state FW Bridge because the rating of the core assumes its centre tapped so core rating of 250mA is when one half is on and other half is off.
Ive found what I think is low enough ripple I’d like your’ collective views. Ive zoomed in on the ripple in the pictures to follow. First cap 4uF is max allowed first cap for U19.
These are to duplicate I have all the parts required for two monoblocks. All this 250mA power supply has to do is keep one 4212 in dc volts required with a magin.
The 5687 va and EL38 driver shall form two more monoblocks with their own seperate power supplies. After Phil then that gives flexibility. The principles of Stephy at least both diode biased. Probably choke input power supply, possibly capacitorless.

My only contribution would be to remind you about 866's as an alternative to U19.

Yes they regulate slightly don’t they. But you have to warm them up before turning the ht on. I think I only have one pair. I’ll have to see how much I can get another pair for. The U19’s I’m not short of.

My two were 816 but found four Russian equivalents at £17.50 each so those are on the way. Thanks for the suggestion Nick. Above new operating current due to the extra efficiency of the 866 against U19.

It was an absolute nightmare negotiating with Chinese web data but eventually I got this firm to take my England address takee my order and pay with my card.
The biggest part of the battle is that their software doesnt tolerate Apple to make up and recall my password. The exact same as the nhs does if you happen to have just installed duck duck go which is an arch enemy of apple. NHS app in combination with duck duck go will never let apple log you in.
But these dont look bad, and in the grand scheme of things I have to do a professional job of this amp, so someone will pay a lot of money for it. I was encouraged that 212’s are current production in China. That will boy up the nos valves I have.

Naomi is up and she says its now recommended to keep youre passwords in a book.
Well my way of beating this trend for other peoples software to block apple from coming up with youre password is to screen shot it. Dont talk to me about paypal. Bastards.
