A pet’s veterinary cone from the late moggie, duck taped to the end of the extractor pipe, gives more effective and wider coverage for the fume extraction:
Such was the nausea the other week, that I ended up actually being sick all over the living room carpet, a couple of hours after soldering up the passive preamp; not good, either for the carpet or for our nostrils with the lingering fragrance. It took half a dozen cleaning sessions to shift it.
Since installing the extraction, I’ve had no further episodes. So far, so good.
The reason for this setup, is that after years of exposure to solder fumes, I’ve developed an allergy to the smoke, so that I’ve ended up with a lot of dizziness and nausea after working on projects. Plus, it’s an excellent applicator when you do want to introduce small children, pets etc., as you would pack a Christmas treeCressy Snr wrote: ↑Sat Jul 27, 2024 9:30 am A pet’s veterinary cone from the late moggie, duck taped to the end of the extractor pipe, gives more effective and wider coverage for the fume extraction:

Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?

Sorry to hear of the projectile effects of soldering. It's almost certainly the flux fumes rather than the solder, yet HASAWA is more concerned with the solder itself, and lead-free solder requires a more vigourous flux because the higher temperature causes more oxidation.

One of the duller things most Beekeepers seem to do, is that wherever in the world you go, you buy local honey. As if you didn't have enough already.
Last weekend we were in Dublin and enjoyed many long and detailed conversations about beekeeping techniques with our colleagues there.
We bought some honey. The name appealed. I'm not sure why...

Though to be fair, it does assume/expect/require that a fume extraction system will be used.yet HASAWA is more concerned with the solder itself

Electrostatic top panels, B&W also did an incredibly rare 'P2' which had plasma tweeters...
Philosophers have only interpreted the world - the point, however, is to change it. No it isn't ... maybe we should leave it alone for a while.

Was at a church flower show in Appledore and saw a whole box of tasteful albums; someone here would have been in heaven! They were trying to give them away and yet the box was still full. I wonder why?

I have "The Moog Strikes Bach". Like Wagner, not as awful as it sounds. Nice dishes.

The tube manual is quite like a telephone book. The number of it perfect. It is useful to make it possible to speak with a girl. But we can't see her beautiful face from the telephone number

The sound mirrors are on my 'to do' list. We've done Abbots Cliff nearby but not Denge (yet).
