To be fair, this is just an application of the Venturi effect.

That's clever, and funny too! I like the rings and behind the head pastiche too :)

There's a whole series out there; sultans of swing as done by Jimi and that Pink Floyd guitarist and that PFG doing all along the watchtower and Mark thingie doing comfortably numb and on and on and on. Very interesting and not without humour. Very impressive - oh how I wish!

Thanks Nick, but can't help feeling there must be better ways. Hence the joke.

Good grief ...

It's cute, but actually quite clever. Personally, I would class it as a curiosity rather than a joke.

As regards "better ways", apart from running the engine whilst cleaning the car, it doesn't require external power or hoover bags etc. and can be done anywhere.

Boring, I know, but clever...

I wonder how you'd get it to work with an EV :)

Just plug the vacuum cleaner of your choice into the mains socket.
The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.
