My latest addition back to something that's a little less frenetic

The tube manual is quite like a telephone book. The number of it perfect. It is useful to make it possible to speak with a girl. But we can't see her beautiful face from the telephone number

It's last years model with quite a drop in price Mike so new..I had a late vrod up to 3 years ago and really liked that, this one has the 114 engine, and is really quite a nice thing to ride .

The trouble with harleys is the up grades
So far there's a new seat sissy bar and forward foot controls to be fitted once I have some time
Then theres stage 1 then stage 2...

Last week - trip to Moto Guzzi club Essex branch summer camp, here going from Elveden Courtyard restaurant near Thetford, where I had brunch, to Steeple in Essex, mostly all by back roads and country lanes. Time lapse, about 25 minutes.

Wednesday 14th - a ride out to Willingham Woods Bikers Meeting Place, near Market Rasen, to meet up with the local Lincs branch Bantam club, for a ride to Caistor.

The AJS Cadwell 125 is going quite well now, as it's run in a bit more. Now nearly 3,000 km. Only taken me 3.5 years to make that. Will now rev past 9,000 rpm.

I found out (via Facebook owners' group) there's a restriction in the silencer, a round plate or 'washer' at the front of the last chamber or tube, with a slightly bigger than 6mm dia. hole in it, which does seem excessively small. I've tried drilling it out to 8mm, and it does seem to have released an extra 1/4 hp. :D I've a mind to try 10mm next. I've had to buy very long drill bits to reach.

About 7 minutes, time-lapse. Mostly via back lanes to and through Lincolnshire Wolds. This is a nice route I did earlier and thought it should make a nice video.

Last ride out for the year today - not to cold and mainly dry on the roads so pretty enjoyable (apart from the stupid 40/50 limits on roads that should still be 60):

And nice cup of tea before heading back home at Squires near Sherburn:

Great day out by the looks of it.. 👍

I got out a couple of times the week before Christmas, bought a husqvarna 401 a few weeks ago, got the new 24 model at a good price with a view of hanging it from the campervan rear for France
I've really enjoyed riding it, light as a feather and quite fast enough.
We tend to go to seaways rather than squires though.. especially for food.

401 looks like a fun bike.
Don't eat at Squires, just a hot beverage (unless summer then its a cold one).
How is it or will be mounted to the back of the van?

I'm hoping g to fit a motorcycle carrier across the back of the van, there's a tow bar fitted at the moment, they bolt onto the mounts .. hopefully.

In the meantime its a nice change to ride it.

Sad day as I've sold my BMW R1200R.

I had not ridden it since covid struck, and my left hand was no longer strong enough to operate the clutch lever for more than short periods.

To be honest, I should have sold it a few years ago, but thats life.

Still got the TriBsa scrambler, but thats in a sorry state after sitting in a damp garage for 10 years and totally neglected.

Yep it's no good.

If I've got no trips on, I seriously need to get into a routine of running each vehicle say at least once a month, if it's only to a local cafe. Including the car. Altho the car is used if I'm taking the bicycle to somewhere further than I can ride to get there (if you see what I mean).
Car used to go shopping once a week but don't often do that now, most often have it delivered instead. Or I'm using the bicycle to pop up the road to Sibsey.

The AJS Cadwell mostly goes to the monthly Bantam club meets (as the actual Bantam still not a runner yet). Sometimes the Guzzi sidecar outfit might be used but that only did about 600 miles last year!
