Ta! I built it out of off-cuts and stuff a few years ago.

Just the usual Suburban birds, and tons and tons of Collared Doves and various Pigeons. The occasional Heron and Sparrowhawk too. This one is my mate...


...but he doesn't get on well with my dog...

Next door but one neighbour used to race Pigeons.

He's a good runner but they beat him every time.

Aww, we used to have a hedgehog, but it died. It was very sad.

That’s cool, we have a fox that comes into the back garden and rests there for an hour or so, not brave enough to get as close as your one yet, does get on with our cat though, they have sounded each other out and seem to be fine. We also get deer come in and rest, they often settle down for a few hours in the shade before moving on, nice to see and they don’t seem that bothered by Kim and myself. We do have a blackbird that regularly comes in to the house, the cat seems ok with him as well, strange isn’t it.

Yeah, 'Rover' is the tamest Fox we've had visiting yet. He loves the occasional Rich Tea biscuit, he'll very gently take it from your fingers...

Yup, had both running so we could listen to Caroline on AM as nature intended I purchased a 5y3GT for the Barker 88 and ran that through to an external speaker, its a powerful sound.

I'm going to overhaul both over winter when it gets too cold to work on the bikes and moped down the shed. JTS wants one for the Conservatory and the other in the Dining room. That leaves our-Ed's old P75 for my workshop I guess. I've got my work cut out doing them all, I've never 'done' radios before.

I've never 'done' radios before.

A long time ago, before you geezers was born like, I had a cutting edge electronics business in the school holidays. This was right at the beginning of the LP age (1953) and people were keen to convert from 78s and have a 331/3 turntable to be connected to some form of amplifier but nothing as expensive as a Pamphonic, Avantic or similar. "I can run the gramophone through the wireless for you" was my answer to this financial dilemma. Well, it sort of worked - the valve nearest the multi-gang variable condenser invariably was my target and one wire from the cartridge was poked under the top cap whilst the other was fixed to the chassis. There was no changeover switch - one merely tuned off the AM station to stop the noise; well, most of it.

This arrangement proved remarkably successful and I developed quite a collection of undiscerning customers. Until the first amplification valve cap proved not to have a grid cap - it turned out to be the plate, thus frying the expensive Goldring 500 cartridge attached at the other end. My father dealt with the consequences and then insisted that the business immediately stopped trading. But, undeterred, I then went on to build the Mullard 5/20 Williamson variant and I've been poncing about with thermionics ever since - although not for financial gain!

So, DtB - be warned; avoid radios. Best left to others.

Mmmmmm me too tho' I have no pics of lovely old motorbikes. How does one load pics?

The system only accepts jpegs up to 256kB which is quite small.
If I want to put up better pics then i go to imgbb.com and upload the picture to there, then use 'full img code bb linked ' ( I think ) & place this link into the posting.
