Great. I only got half way before the buffering became so slow it decided to stop and ask me to try again later. Must be a popular program on a Saturday middle of the day.

But thanks for the tip off.

Yep, great documentary although, yes Paul, buffering was a pain. Biggest revelation for me was the ageing hippies attention and appreciation of disco  You'd never have thought It!

Good music is good music innit :)

The musicianship and sounds on the Chic singles and albums in particular was personally as new and exciting as stuff I was hearing from Gong, Hawkwind, Sabbath, Zep etc etc etc Freaks like grooves too y'know

White-collar conservatives flashing down the street
Pointing their plastic finger at me.
They're hoping soon my kind will drop and die,
But I'm gonna wave my freak flag high

I almost cut my hair, it was happened just the other day.
It was gettin' kinda long, I could've said it was in my way.
But I didn't and I wonder why, I feel like letting my freak flag fly,
And I feel like I owe it to someone.

Love Nile Rodgers work.

During the disco era, Chic and Sister Sledge were the perfect antidote to most of the dross around.
One track that came out of left field and showed the versatility of Rodgers and co was the B side to Dance Dance Dance (Yowsah, Yowsah, Yowsah) or was it Le Freak? Anyway it was a track called "Sau Paulo", a breezy latin instrumental with smoky sax playing and an infectious groove. Fab stuff.

Can't seem to find that track anywhere, but I'll dig out the single and bring it to Owston if I can find it.

Haven't seen the documentary yet but I'll have a look this afternoon.

Yep, that's it :D

Have not heard that for nearly 35 years.
Even through the grotty sound quality, it sounds so coooool.
Just goes to show that good music can transcend the means of reproduction.
