Yep another oldie gone, apparently he had another gig lined up for when he got out of hospital! Which he didn't of course
As has been said used to be on a lot of TV variety shows back in the '60's and '70's.

My Dad was a big Trad fan, so my formative years were shaped by Kenny Ball, Acker Bilk, George Chisholm, Chris Barber and Humph.
I still listen to these guys, along with Louis Armstrong and the rest of those American jazz pioneers, the Brit Jazzers modelled themselves on.
Saw The Three Bs at Gainsborough Sands along with Humph. Great night and fabulous playing from all four bands.
Kenny's on stage antics and patter, was always good for a laugh.
Not a bad innings though he will be sadly missed.
