My brain isn't wired for mathematics but I do work with some clever mathematics/celestial dynamics people though; a former colleague has just passed away aged 91 - his idea of a pastime in his retirement years was to calculate future eclipse dates using a pocket calculator.

Some folk do have a weird idea of what constitutes"fun".

My father, every night before going to sleep, would ask my mother to give him a random 5 digit number.

He would then mentally determine the cube root, write it down and go to sleep, only checking his answer in the morning.

I am at loss for words to express how wonderful this video is - it has put a smile on my face under the most depressing of circumstances :
