I see the enormous Johnson is 'optimistic' about summer holiday prospects for (presumably) 2021. For my part, I am optimistic that the next time the 'phone rings, it will be Emilia Clarke asking me to go to bed with her, with much the same level of justification, or even better.

Putting your fantasies aside.. Boris has been clever - he hasn’t specified what your holiday options will be... probably a week in the U.K. Socially distanced in a caravan in the rain. Ryan Air now that gobshite is jumping the gun suggesting we can all jet off to Spain

Now I'm REALLY depressed. Been learning French every day for 300 days and longing to escape little britain, at least a while to see if the grass really is greener.
Mind we did have a four day break on the Welsh coast last summer and it didn't rain :D

The grass may appear greener elsewhere, but it could just be astroturf.

"The Kent variant of coronavirus that has been spreading around the UK appears to be undergoing some worrying new genetic changes, say scientists.

Tests on some samples show a mutation, called E484K, already seen in the South Africa and Brazil variants that are of concern.

Although this change may reduce vaccine effectiveness, the current ones in use should still work, say experts."

A drug normally used to treat arthritis can be a life-saver for some of the sickest hospital patients with Covid, new research shows.

Good news then.
Philosophers have only interpreted the world - the point, however, is to change it. No it isn't ... maybe we should leave it alone for a while.

If the Government are prepared to jail people for up to 10 years for lying about Covid and not shielding when flying in, why are they not tougher on those who transgress the current rules about staying at home ?
