I'm slightly puzzled by the rear light.

I cant think why that would be.

You could get this idea from looking at typical LED components, especially red and green ones, which normally are encapsulated in a red or green plastic. The main reason for them being coloured is, however, just ease of identification. The typical wavelength bandwidth of the emission is quite narrow ( 20 to 40nm ) so they would be strongly coloured without the colourant in the plastic.

That's what I assumed. The red and blue LED's I use mostly are both encapsulated in clear plastic.

Seriously guys, I think it's just a style thing. A clear or white lookng lamp but that lights up red.

Like, my Clio has all clear lens indicator lamps, so then it has to have amber coloured bulbs. (Which is a bit of a pain because I sometimes get an advisory at MOT that the rear ones are fading, caused by sunlight shining on them as it's parked in my frontage I presume, so the colour isn't quite correct (going yellow). I have to put new ones in again this time.)

Today I changed out the headlight bulb for a Philips X-treme, (altho the original is a Osram BiLux, as it turns out, so not shabby)

Replaced the horn for a different one that's hopefully not so weedy, and put on a fender extender.

Is the segmented disc on the front wheel for ABS, or the speedometer ?

Have you room in the shed for 4 solo motorcycles, or perhaps the Guzzi will live in the conservatory ?

When I was Despatch rider white ex Police Guzzi 850’s were a bargain. But I’d bought an R65, which was how I learned Boxers weren’t Rolls Royce’s of motorcycles. Japanese had them beat on build quality and reliability. Kept my feet warm though. Had loads of other bikes but ended up with mz 250 as backup which never failed to perform its role. Main steed GT 550 not enough torque but most economical Despatch bike and totally reliable.

Anyway move forward to 2015 ish working for BG 6 months in Doncaster old Widower pictures of Black Shaddow with him on it much younger at TT. He invited me to the shed, a Norvin, this Black Shaddow in the picture and another Vtwin Vincent with sidecar. He spannered for himself kind of like Guy Martin in his days. Bike spanner man all his life. Took pains explaining the clutch and gearbox issues Vincent had and how he was rebuilding one of them with great precision and care in his ‘90’s. What a life event.

Also in Donny another TT old spanner man with an old bsa he’d rebuilt Widdower too. Started it for me concourse A10 many? Beautiful. This was in his carpeted living room!

Great memories of that 6 months in Donny.
