I had a ride on this the other day, its a 1941 Norman Motobyk (so we believe) powered by a 98cc Villiers Junior Deluxe motor with a single gear and a clutch. Its way more fun than you'd imagine.

I see you put Scob's saddle on for the ride!
Sorry, I couldn't resist!

Ha! Yeah, it looks very similar to a B17 doesn't it but actually it was a sprung saddle IIRC, maybe a B67. The owner had done a cracking job of restoring the whole bike. There were two at the Norman bash. Norman were a bicycle manufacturer based in Ashford, Kent so there were quite a few bicycles there too hence all the little trikes in the background.

Wish I still had the Norman Nippy looking at those pics
I remember as a lad I had a tuned up garelli engined scooter as a field bike with bent forks, my mate had a Norman autocycle which was rather slow in comparison, we managed to combine the two, dumping the Villiers unit and inserting the garelli, we got a few good days out of it until it fell apart.. to be expected with a couple of 14 year olds workmanship, it then was left at the farm...
probably turned into a 'barn find' many years later

The tube manual is quite like a telephone book. The number of it perfect. It is useful to make it possible to speak with a girl. But we can't see her beautiful face from the telephone number

Looks a nice bike Mike, should halve your journey times compared to the Urinal.
I always fancied a Guzzi but never got there. I did test drive a Spada once.

Ah, the advantages of being a bachelor!
It was the last one at Wheels Motorcycles Peterborough, and they only ever had four. I only got it because previous sale was cancelled. The sales guy at Wheels doesn't think he'll get any more, unless MG decide to hold it over to next year, if in a slightly different guise. He thinks they'd be daft not to 'cause there's been loads of interest.

Nice, (resisting the temptation to suggest it would be the basis of a nice cafe racer).

Yes, this year in particular I've been finding the Ural a bit too slow.

I enjoy a more upright riding position in my old (ish) age.
Was never a fan of resting my chin on the top yoke.
