:lol:

Thing is, with the Covid situation, the NHS could not afford to have an ambulance following close behind me.

I struggle to go 2 miles on a bicycle these days, but not so bad walking. In fact (weather permitting) I'm off soon on my first social walk since the pandemic began, and I sure do need the exercise. :D

I did stage 1 of the 'Tour de Zwift' today, essentially a virtual race with something over 1000 riders. I finished in about the middle of the field, which I'm please with given the years I'm giving away to most of the others. I'm chuffed with my stats (that's a distance of 30.6miles and an average speed of 25.3mph)

I'm in the middle of riding the 'Tour de Zwift, this evening was stage 5 of the 8.

Chuffed with my ride, marginally slower average speed than the ride above but steeper hills this time and a good increase in my average power.

Here are the numbers (distance = 21.1 Miles and Speed = 24mph)

Looks good!

Best I've managed is speed walking a cross-country half marathon at the weekend (round Bewl Reservoir) Three times further than I've walked so far. No problems during or after.

I'm doing a lot of walking at the moment - occasional 21km and swimming at least a mile on each trip to the pool... But I can't run ever again...

However, our youngest is quite quick - yesterday he did his local park run in 19:55 and came 40th overall (30th male) out of 487.

However, the winner did 16:26, which is insane.

Rob said he was 200m ahead of this guy in the first km. Downhill after that!

This evening I rode Alpe du Zwift, an accuarate virtual world Alpe d'Huez, for the 18th time and trimmed almost 3mins of my previous PB with a time of 62:07. Here's the profile;

and here are the stats;

For just the climb, I sustained an average of 233W for an hour with a VAM of 1001

I'm pleased with that and I'm now confident I can get under the hour for the climb as I wasn't on the limit - the key is measuring the effort.

At that rate you could fully charge a Tesla in about two and a half weeks!
The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.

8) Work/life balance is important so if you want to hire me I'll only do 8hr shifts, Mon - Fri.

On the other hand, it wouldn't take me 2.5wks to cycle as far as a Tesla would travel on a single charge!

Braintree is about 1/2 hour away by car.
