Panasonic bread maker in use every day. It makes great pizza dough as well; our treat every Saturday.

I've just found out my Mum is in Brentwood Community Hospital.
Fortunately it's not life threatening, although her blood pressure was very high.
She's being assessed, and having loads of tests done.

Thanks Mike. I can't visit Mum (not allowed) so I'm waiting for someone to let me know the prognosis.

I'm having another go at getting things tidy.
I got an Ikea Kallax unit yesterday (4 box X 3 box @ £20) and I've got to pick up another one (4 box X 4 box @ £20) in a few days. The 4 X 4 is destined for the conservatory and hopefully I can clear the worktop in there and regain a hi-fi work space.
Good job I still have the van to collect such things.

It's snowing here, only light though.
Off out to pick up a Kallax unit, and check over Mums house whilst she's in Hospital.

Not snowing here but my brother lives up in Scotland and has snow.
Bleeding chilly though. Gave all the beehives some extra grub (1kg blocks of baker's fondant inside the roof of the hive) to get them through the next 10 days or so as the brood is expanding at the time of year but the bees won't fly if it's cold, plus a lot of the blossom is likely to be savaged by the cold winds and freezing temperatures.
One of the colonies that over-wintered is quite small though has a good temperament, so I want to really make sure the queen survives this cold snap (I want to create other queens from her). Thus have put in what's called a "frame feeder" which sits in the brood box with the queen and contains a supersaturated sugar syrup - this is easy for the bees to get to (they don't have to wander up to the top of the hive) and digest (easier than fondant), plus it's basically pure energy.
I extracted the colony late in the season from a bit of flat roof on a nearby listed building:

Fascinating!
Meanwhile here in the seething metropolis that is Boston Lincs, yes bit of snow yesterday, but very brief flurries between sunny spells.
Also, we now have to have four refuse bins -
- -
New one is tjhe purple one, arrived this morning. So it's now (clean!) paper and cardboard in the purple, tins cans plastic bottles and foil and suchlike in the blue (used to be this plus paper and card); green is non-recyclable (everything else. And yes I also think green is the wrong colour for that). The brown we've had to buy, then it's £45 a year to get it emptied (was £30). It's for garden waste.

We have a BLACK bin for non recyclable stuff, and GREEN for garden waste. Seems sensible.
Also, we have a small green container for food waste, and clear plastic sacks for specified recyclable waste.
Our village hall has recycling bins for 4 different colours of glass.
All the council bins are free.

Good examples; it's interesting that local authorities have to come up with their own solutions. Beds Borough is not as good as either Boston or Sudbury.
Many times I have wondered, idling in a traffic jam whilst waiting to access the bottle banks, ' what really happens to all this 're-cyclable stuff?

Here we have the standard black bin for whatever, green bin for garden waste, blue bin for tin cans paper card and plastic, and a little green box for glass.
I also pay for a trade waste bin (black with a red lid) for all the stuff related to what i do which is 90 quid per quarter. Not too bad considering its emptied weekly
