I see the ship that blocked the Suez Canal (Ever Given) has finally been released and has now left the canal.

The delay was whilst a financial settlement to the canal owners was sorted out.

So, good news for anyone who is waiting for the cargo to be distributed.

Any collectable vinyl on there has probably doubled in value, in transit.

Backtonormal.org.uk

Anybody know what it is? It purports to be just ordinary people who care about getting 'back to normal

Where are they coming from? Are they being sponsored, for example, by the manufacturers of Ivermectin.

A rather emotive post card was popped through my letterbox this morning. It is simplistic, claims much but substantiateds their claims with nothing. Google hasn't backed them up and I can't find anything anywhere else.

So I'm a tad sceptical.

Rightly so Andrew.

Back to normal is what we all want (don't we ?) but Covid is not going away and we need to learn how to minimise the effects. I fear that when fully released from the shackles of lockdown, there will be further waves of Covid outbreaks when people start mingling in close contact.

Perhaps us "wrinklies" will be more circumspect in how we apply our new freedoms ?

Yeah but No Phil, It is this organisation and the claims it makes at which I raise a sceptical eyebrow!

I understand that.

I don't know enough on the subject (of Ivermectin) to comment on their claims.

Good (start) old Beeb, where would we be without it!

Now just who are these 'backtonormal' peeps and what I wonder, do they mean by 'normal?

Well, I for one have no intention of going back to the commute and office work version of "normal".

I dare say we all have our own ideas about what "normal" means.

Without doubt some things (like working from home) have changed for the better.

It looks like we'll get a rather good compromise of working two days at home every week, which is a bonus , out of all of this.

People have already pointed up that a season ticket fir five days a week is cheaper than for two or three days a week.

Madness if true but if the commuter can afford it it might be better to be more sane, relaxed and happier.

If true I don't see the problem. Get the cheapest ticket and only use it the days you need to.
