Maybe “magic smoke” scented candles more appropriate....

Ah - neither can I on this other computer. Have you got Facebook containerised or otherwise behind bars?

For the benefit of those sensible folk chopping off Facebook's tentacles:
John Rehwinkel wrote: One of the things I did during lockdown to keep my mind working was restoring a pile of old broken oscilloscopes I had accumulated. Even after sitting out in a shed for years, when I would open one, I'd get this great scent of old electronics. Then I spied this joke image of a "burnt resistor" candle, which gave me an idea. Part of the process of restoring these things involves replacing the old wax-paper capacitors which deteriorate over time. After a while, I had accumulated a pile of them, and the capacitors themselves had that great old electronics scent. So I figured I could melt the wax out of them and cast it into candles to make "old electronics" scented candles. I grabbed a pile of capacitors and melted out their wax, then blended it with paraffin and beeswax, and poured a couple of test candles.
Although we still don't know if the experiment was successful...

I dont anymore, although a presense from years ago there I cant and dont login. So I cant see anything but a blank screen. But I dont actually give a fook. Just pointing out it doesnt show on ipad without ability to log i to facebook.

I resigned from facebook due to all the bullying cases leading to suicide, and murders, mainly a shocking one in scarborough seafront after an exchange on facebook, a man alone was lured to his death by a gang of twenty odd.

The latest blog on Thomas Meyer's Vinysavor - an all silver differential 10Y pre amp. €47k according to his website. It would be fascinating to hear one of his systems.

I heard them in Munich 2019, I have to say it was entirely disappointing, But not sure what was the cause, but it was in a smallish room with windows on two sides with some large OB speakers. So hard to know what was what in all that.

There's probably the cost of a house in amps in that video. Value is a tricky thing as everyone has their own reference. For us spoddy blokes that strap lumps of stuff to planks it probably doesn't make much sense, but others may have a tremendous pride of ownership.

Shoud still sound extraordinary for that money though...

I've just done a 40 mile round trip to pick up a 1.8 m length of kitchen worktop.

Seems they cocked up the advert and it was only 0.8 m long.

They tried to say it was my error, and I "exploded", but I calmed down on the way home.

Quite right Paul.

Off to see this at the weekend...

https://www.theguardian.com/stage/2021/ ... ensibility

Similar to the Slapstick Picnic production of The Importance Of Being Earnest which we saw at the end of last year at the Brighton Open Air Theatre (BOAT).

Lordy, it's wonderful going back to live events...

...but the van Gogh exhibition at the Courtauld first.

Got a second, private view, in a couple of weeks.

A days rest from walking today.. so had a tour of the S/H shops in Keswick. Not many records worth buying, however I did spy the complete back catalogue of Cliff, so maybe Mark can complete his Cliff collection on his next visit.. I bet they will still be there  There was a fair selection of the Canterbury bands vinyl but not paying £40 for an LP.
