A related and I thought interesting quote from the porsche classic pages "More than 70 percent of all Porsche vehicles ever built are still on the road"

Can't say that about Land Rovers...

Late last night, I was moving some beehives (with bees in them) to a fruit farm a few miles away - I felt every bump & knock driving the hives to their new site, about 1/2 mile off-road.

Mind you, by the end of the year, it'll be largely fixed (hah!)

I let the 3rd wasp of the day out of the attic yesterday. That makes 7 in all this year.

As long as none of them set up home in the flat roof above the back door.
Last year it cost me deep in the purse to have the man come and evict them.

My electricity supply comes via a pole in next door neighbours property.

They have just given the pole a new identity tag with a QR code.

One of my "hobbies" is reporting fraudulent sellers on Ebay.

There is one individual who hacks accounts and then lists over 1,000 various motor vehicles, boats, camper vans etc. I've been following his progress for several years.

Usually, when I find his listings ( 3-5 days a week) I use the "report item" tab and let Ebay know.

For the last few days my ability to report items has been disabled, so today I managed to get Ebay customer services to ring me and discuss the matter.

The disabled "report item" facility seems to be an Ebay problem and not directed at me personally.

I'm curious how you find these people?

I keep an eye on Classic cars on Ebay many times a day . I have a feel for what cars are worth, so if I see a suspiciously low price I check "sellers other items" to see what else they are offering. If it's over 1,000 I get really suspicious. Also the sellers past history can give clues.

The bastard I'm hunting has a specific modus operandi which is easy to spot. Another help is that he tends to offer many recurring vehicles, so if I search for something like a Nimbus motorcycle (cue Baggo comment) or a Rover P5 (as examples) I can find his scam items quite quickly.

If a seller has many vehicles for sale, but each one has the photo taken in a completely different location that rings alarm bells.

Scammers that offer vehicles one at a time are much harder to spot.

With regard to scams in general, some of these scamming bastards are getting more clever in the way they operate.

At least, with phone number blocking, I get hardly any that way these days.

This is a scammers advert, note the second picture, a trademark of his. The name of the account he has hacked is ironic.

EDIT.

Looks like Ebay have eventually deleted the fraudulent listings.
