I know he had struggled with health problems in recent years - but was still contributing significantly with advice on the forums.
A very clever guy and a thoroughly nice man, from what I can tell.

I still carry the memory of the fantastic sounds in his demo room at VSAC2003, as I think does Mr. Barker.
He was so happy to talk about his projects and share his developments, a real stalwart of the horn speaker community who will be greatly missed. A real gentleman to boot.
