#1 Linkwitz LXmini

Post by Ray P »

As I mentioned on my SLOB project thread, the active crossover I'm considering as an option was originally developed by Nelson Pass as an analogue alternative to using MiniDSP with the Linkwitz LXmini DIY speakers so, inevitably, I got side-tracked into reading about the the speakers. The LXmini is an interesting design using plastic drainpipe tubes etc. and I can see it might satisfy some people's wish for OB speakers but who don't have the room for a larg(ish) panel.

Has anyone here any experience of the LXmini?

Looking at the LXmini kits that are available and the gallery of DIY builds, I'm surprised nobody appears to have used 3D printing for the drive unit mountings - could be made to look much more elegant.

Ed, I tried to reply to your PM about the crossover but it seems you've disabled PM receipt?
