The guitars are not binned following the testing - they're kept to show what goes on with building tips and techniques
I'll be honest, the drop and fallover tests make me wince when I see them, but the rough handling is done with purpose to expose the instruments to the worst that can be thrown at them.
Both guitars thus tested came out very well.
