Hi Ian
been a while, except for the bogus emails I still get from time to time....
Best bet for B&C must be one of the French distributors....I'm guessing.....but don't tell'm your English....hush my humour.

There's nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be

Hi Ed
Hope you are well. I’ve changed the password on my email account so hopefully that might help I suspect I’ll end up buying new but thought it was worth asking.
Cheers
I.

Thanks Colin. Yeah a pretty penny but I have it on very good authority that they sound superb. And 300hz - 20khz from effectively one driver on the right horn. Gotta love that.

Just before you spend your pennies, he’s my experience.
I haven’t heard this particular coaxial CD driver however I have owned the BMS 4592’s and others and had loan of a triaxial drivers. I tried then in a number of horns of horn profiles 300Hz le cleach, a CD and a tractrix one. The issue is beaming with all of them. It will all depend on you listening room, you need about 6m between you and the horns, so a big room otherwise you will get variations in your listening pleasure from moving your head.
I am currently enjoying wide band planar drivers covering 300Hz upto 6000Hz in a CD horn. I find them nicer to listen to than any compression drivers I own including the JBL 2482’s with there non metallic diaphragms.
GRS ( Radian?) have just started remaking the BG NEO 10’s again, these can cover the 200hz to 3000hz range nicely. https://www.soundimports.eu/en/grs-pt5010-8.html
On Joe Crowes blog he has horn loaded them, and claimed best midrange male voice, he’s ever heard. he also played around with the DCX drivers too. Some interesting readinghttps://josephcrowe.com/blogs/news. Just remember in the USA having a 30 ft room isn’t classed as large.

Thanks for words of caution. In fact it is Joseph Crowe's experience with the DCX in a large bi-radial horn that is encouraging me to buy them. I've spoken to him about them and he thinks they are close to the TAD 2001 in sound quality but obviously capable of covering a much wider bandwidth. I will however mention your comments to him to see what he says. Cheers.vinylnvalves wrote: ↑Sat Jan 09, 2021 5:52 pm Just before you spend your pennies, he’s my experience.

He suggests that as it’s a 1.4” driver the off axis is better, so there could be a sweet point for Coaxial CD’s. His biaxial horns are beautifully made. I have never made one on my CNC, they look easy to machine compared to some of the elliptical ones I have made in the past.
This one was the one that I like https://josephcrowe.com/blogs/news/e-25 ... front-horn. Where he claims the best midrange sound. Amusingly he was almost doing the same things as I was at the same time, just on the other side of the pond.
