As this is a u.k based site I thought i could get some help hopefully of maybe building a "Buffered Volume Control" most diy builds seem to have parts from the USA..well PCBs.

hello

if you're any good with a soldering iron you could do a lot worse than this...it's a bit long in the tooth now but I beleive there are modern mods detailed on diyaudio:
