A nice way to spend an hour if you're a fan of Jaco P...
So out of that documentary came the name Dave Carpenter. I confess, I said "who"?
Bluddy 'ell! Buddy gives him the nod at 4.07..

Whenever an honest man discovers that he's mistaken, he will either cease to be mistaken or he will cease to be honest.

Wow! A kind friend ecently referred me to Rick Beato to help with me about not particularly enjoying Steely Dan. And then this comes along. Wow doubled. There's maybe a lot Mr Beato can show me. Gulp.
Philosophers have only interpreted the world - the point, however, is to change it. No it isn't ... maybe we should leave it alone for a while.

Yes , that's properly impressive !
I had him down as being at his best in the 60'sm, but there's obviously plenty more to listen to.

What I really like about Rick Beato is his enthusiasm and deep love of music, and the way it comes over so effortlessly. I understand about 0.1% of the theory he talks of yet always appreciate the music more because of his commentary. He somehow managed to get nearly 25 minutes from U2's I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, a song which is less than 5 minutes. Er, insane .
I would have had no idea what Oscar Peterson was playing but now can appreciate it on a level I never would have been able to. Oh, and the double bass player looks just like Mr Horsfield, my 4th year junior school teacher.

Even Rick is struggling to work out what/how Jeff 'does' Jeff.
This was really enjoyable (IMO).
