I'd been reading about Anita O'day and that led to a fella called Harry Gibson aka 'Harry the Hipster', no really, internet search for him.
Proto rock n roll from 1944.
I hear bits of Louis Jordan, Jerry Lee Lewis and the visuals of Kid Creole in this.
About 10 years ahead of the curve or what?

A pleasure Ed, there's a short documentary here if you've got 30 mins to spare.

Found it. I love this concert footage, Colin Hodgkinson and Alexis Korner.
Colin's sound, the groove, Alexis's singing, all of it, awethumne (IMO).
I recorded the whole program when it was shown on TV that this clip comes from on my Dad's then-new-fangled VHS VCR in about 1982, about 2 years before I started playing Bass, this concert was one of the reasons I started.
