Smartphone sensors

For Morgan Jones - I can't find where he posted the magnet coils experiment...

Have you tried the magnetometer in a smartphone? Plenty of apps can display its readings. Mine reads to 0.1uT

Sorry for the hijack

Good progress and looking forward to seeing the results. On the subject of stuffing, don’t know if you have seen this test:

Re: WANTED: Windows 7 laptop with working USB port...

I run Windows XP on a MacBook Air using VMWare Fusion I think. Not with it just now, so can't check
Don't see why it wouldn't run Windows 7, but don't know what it does with USB

Wow, you’re not kidding
Enjoying the armchair view of this project, and a bit jealous - live in a flat, so nowhere to build and nowhere to put anything that big

Re: Something Stirs in the Workshop

Just had another look at the blue trace, and there's a lot of HF there for a sub
Is the brown (?) line the sub or the blue one? There's not much difference time wise, but just to be sure

Re: Nothing In Particular

I always used 0xAA55 mainly because it’s a nice binary pattern, but I suppose anything recognisable would do. No idea if that is more or less likely to appear than any other pattern though - I guess it depends on context

Nice bit of code and bookmarked - thanks
