It is a tad heavy, fits Pauls original definition of boatanher in that its just possible to more in on your own, but less that easy.

If anyone ever tells you that phono stages are easy, they they have only build easy phono stages :-)

It will be worth it I am sure Andrew if the sound we heard in the hum at mine is still there.

Thats even better, nothing is clean in the conection so it all gets fixed after its got to the other end. Ideal I would have said.

Surely the evidence is in the listening.
You and me may think that Darren, but trust me, if someone advocates the use of ABX then the listening is taken to have absolutly no validity as evidence.

Yes Neal, you see my point, I agree that snake oil needs to have no place in the market, but it becomes a problem if its the thin end of the wedge. As you say, ABX seems to ensure negative results, and that way lies "any competent amplifiers will sound the same" and "all CD players so...
