Does anyone have the circuit for Thomas' phono or a link to a thread maybe? I fancied building a MM SS phono stage and was going to get a Slee DAK Genera but if there is something better for less wedge.... 8)

Steve, why not consider a decent second hand plug and play linear tracker, such as a Technics SL-QL1 or SL7? Small, compact, reliable, direct drive, affordable and you can fit them with quite decent carts such as Ortofons (OM30 or 40) and the SL10 will take a MC cart too? Just a thought. It was the ...

I have repaired one of those, they are good amps, the DC coupling means that if you look at it the wrong way it (a big transient will do it) it will kill its output transistors. Yeah... I have a couple of spare sets of NOS output trannies for mine just in case, but never needed them so far in the 4...

Inside of an AU719 showing dual PSUs, one per channel and also some info regarding the design. These things seemed to be at the peak of their game in the late 70s and early 80s.

I've got one Dave, but these days only tend to use it after a record gets a wet clean on the VPI RCM. It does seem to work to a degree. If I run the RCM on a bit too long on vacuum mode when the record is dry, then you can get quite a lot of static build up, and a few, long slow pulls of the Zerosta...
