I've bought from Familygate (via Ebay) in the past (Alps pots) and I would recommend them. Fast shipping and good prices.

Can't say what they're like now as it was about 3 years ago but I would certainly order from them again without fear.

Cheers,
Tony

A quid seems reasonable to find out if it's all nonsense or not.

SheevaPlug

Hi All, There's a new kid in town who may be just the thing for use as a SqueezeBox server. http://www.newit.co.uk/ This little "plug" computer is around £90 - £110 depending on the option and is quite capable of handling the SqueezeBox server software. Someone beat me to it setting it up ...

That's the one I'm trying to get rid of. :? I want the _old_, old one, the Win2000 one that you can seach for files, or files containing text and that's it. No dogs, no "what would you like to find today?", "are you looking for some photos that you've lost?" or "you silly so...

Yes, I'm interested. Ever since XP the search has been diabolical. What was wrong with the one on Win2000 that did everything you needed? And without a dog?

Theoretically you could rip the speaker and plate amp out of the Rel and build it into another enclosure...It's a sealed design so provided the volume matched and the material was dead enough then it should work I'd think?? Not that I know much about speaker design!

Before I bought my Rel I tried messing around with a huge bass driver and a Maplin 50W SS amp. I found the filtering to get the cutoff point to match the main system to be really difficult (ie impossible for me with my limited time, patience and knowledge!) There would always be some interaction wit...
