Michelle Shocked, never did much for me TBH and the same with the Alison Kraut and Bobby Plant collaboration. Oooh, you're a heathen ;-). Just add a little Jack Johnson and you're a happy bunny . The Texas Campfire Songs is an interesting recording - recorded on a Sony Walkman Pro with lorries...

Thanks chaps, and for the link Ed. I should have been a bit clearer, or more accurate perhaps. It's a 4 port modem router, so I should plug that in to the mains presumably. My NAS drive has Slimserver, which is also plugged in to the router. Okay, why do I need to worry about encryption? Not doubtin...

O/T Homeplugs

Thought I'd ask about homeplugs as there's a few on here who might be able to help. Due to a domestic change I need to use a network. The PC and modem etc. are relocating upstairs, but I need to feed the Squeezebox downstairs, plus broadband for a laptop downstairs. Wireless is out and I really don'...

Using a 26, even in the output stage would be far from simple, unless it was just a simple low gain buffer, its low gain again hurts you, and getting it quiet enough will be far from simple. Yep, I'm still battling with getting DHTs quiet in a pre - a phono would probably be worse. 26s are a little...

Mmm, I should play with LC more than I have done. It worked well in the Bugle. Might need some bigger chokes though...

Ah, I remember now. I'd forgotten you'd tried the 6N6P Aikido. I've plans to try a 6N6P or 5687 as a White cathode follower between 5693 and 300B in my WE91s but have never summoned up the courage to hack in to them. One day, when I have enough time. In the meantime I want to see what a triode drive...

Does the forum have any female members? Yes, or probably more like did. Samantha. Seemed a nice sort. Came to Owston a couple of times ago and brought her Unison 845 amp. Rightly or wrongly it got a bit of a slagging on here from some quarters (not from a regular poster), and I think she was a bit ...

Try Rod Burman at http://www.valves.uk.com/. He's taken the prices off the KR page and I suspect they've gone up but the XLS were about £260. But with the exchange rate they could be a fair bit dearer now...
